I
find it interesting that the game of golf is one of, if not the most written about sports
regarding how to play. Golf seems to have a mystery for most golfers. Constantly
seeking the Secret Move or Special Equipment for a good golf swing. Reading
books and magazines, buy training aides, videos and the latest technology, taking lessons,
and even attending well known named golf schools, and still golfers are in search.
Golfers are frustrated, their efforts yield little improvement, at least long lasting
improvement and often resign themselves to the fact that they will forever be a hacker or
in search of that Secret. After studying and attending training for "The Golf
Machine" to become an Authorized Instructor (AI), the insight
provided has given me the confidence as well as the knowledge to break through the
mysteries of the golf swing. Success!
The true KEY of Golf is
that each golfer must develop and execute 'HIS/HER GOLF SWING'. There are
some elements that define a good golf swing which are based on how the golf club is
presented to the golf ball. Beyond that, just about anything is possible, it is just a
matter of discovering what works for the individual, what conflicts within the swing and
adjusting it out. How complex or how simple the golfer wishes the swing to be and
how well the golfer can execute various elements of the golf swing is all part of
developing Your Golf Swing.
I do not to advocate
one particular method but to evaluate, analyze the golfer, the golfer's golf swing
and isolate faulty, weak and incompatible components and then offer adjustments in the
form of information, drills and exercises. After all it is really 'Your Golf
Swing', not mine or someone's else's. Assisting a golfer to find and develop
'Their Own Golf Swing' is the formula for each golfer having a enduring and
enjoyable golf swing.
My approach toward the
golf swing is simple.
> First, it is YOUR GOLF SWING, not mine, not some top pro, but
Yours.
> Second, there are only three imperatives for the golf swing:
a. Flat Leading Wrist
b. Club Head Lag
c. Straight Plane Line
> Third, Good Golf starts with defining your fundamentals, your swing.
> Fourth, Golf should be FUN and enjoyable.
Visiting this site
alone wont change an individual's game, the golfer must absorb the information, understand
it, apply it so he can execute 'HIS/HER GOLF SWING'.
My philosophy and
knowledge of the golf swing is based on a foundation developed from "The Golfing
Machine" by Homer Kelley.
